In March 2022, Southern California Chapter NOBLE requested the assistance of Bessie Morris Foundation in identifying scholarship candidates for the newly-formed Mom and Pop Reddick Scholarship. In honor of the memory of Roberta Reddick, the Reddick Scholarship was created to assist worthy young students requiring financial assistance in pursuing higher education.
Brielle Y. Terry is grateful to have received the support of the Southern California Chapter of NOBLE for her first year as a Mount St. Mary’s University, Los Angeles student. Brielle will begin her college studies in the fall of 2022, majoring in English.
A Multi-Talented “Renaissance Woman”
Brielle is a bright, gifted and multi-talented young woman. She has been recognized for her many achievements and inspiration to others.
At Verdugo Hills High School’s Visual and Performing Arts Magnet, Brielle shared her talents as a vocalist, literate musician, and played the piano, guitar and ukulele.
As a gifted athlete, in 2019, she competed in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) city finals for varsity track and field in the 4 x 400m relay. In 2020, she was on the varsity basketball team and won a CIF city championship in 2020 for Division 3.
Throughout her high school career, she has been awarded multiple honor roll certificates, voted most inspirational by the cross country team, best dressed, most athletic, and the prom queen. Currently, she is enrolled in three advanced placement classes and competing at the city level on the varsity track and field team.
Brielle, in turn, is inspired by Sergeant Roberta Reddick and aims to make an impact just as she did.
In addition to the Reddick Scholarship, Brielle was also a recipient of the Bessie Morris Foundation 2022 Prom Dreams scholarship. She looked beautiful in her pink gown!
Congratulations Brielle on her well-deserved scholarships. And best wishes for her studies at the university.
