Bessie Morris Foundation Receives NOBLE Award

As a Los Angeles County Deputy Probation Officer Ivory Freeman, founder of Bessie Morris Foundation, has been a member of NOBLE for numerous years.

Bessie Morris Foundation was again recognized for its community work by the Southern California Chapter of NOBLE (National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives). On March 11, 2023 at the 23rd Annual Achievers Award Banquet, the Roberta & Albert Reddick Scholarship was accepted by Karen Lewis on behalf of the organization.

The scholarship award will be used to support the BMF 2023 Academic Scholarships. “Education is a cornerstone for success. We want to provide seed funds to those seeking higher education. Even for those who have been awarded financial aid, the funds are not distributed until after the school session has begun which can make it difficult for some to purchase school supplies and dorm furnishings in preparing for campus life.”

Those interested in being a recipient should check the Bessie Morris Foundation website for updates and for the academic scholarship application when made available.
